This typically well made tool is used to adjust the rear sight of the pistol. During qualification shooting sights could be adjusted for the shooter by ordnance personel at the range. There is sufficient movement to also allow the installation of rear sights. Sights were available in about seven heights which varied from about a low of .141" to a high of abouit .188". Sights were usually numbered on the edge or blade with numbers from #1 to #7, oversized sights had this number then a "dot" and then the overisze number. .
