These little radios were used all during Viet-Nam and many years after. They were called the Squad radio or Helmet radio set when combined with the PRR-9 radio receiver. Made to operate on frequencies from about 47 MHz up to about 53 MHz on crystal controlled channels at two different power setting. Can net with late gear like PRC-25, -77 and VRC vehicle sets as well as older stuff like the PRC 6, 8, 9 and 10 series. Battey was normally a 15 volt unit but can easily be run on two 9 volts in series. Battery life is very good. There were two styles of battey box. Units are operational and checked prior to shipping. Physical condition is good, we picked the worse sets we could find for the photos. This item is a single PRT-4 radio Remember these are the transmitters only.
