This is the bolt for the FN Cal..22 Trainer as made in Belgium.  The rifle has a standard  K98 look.  The complete bolt is shown below.  This style rifle was purcahsed by several countries in addition to Belgium.  The Israeli government purchased these as  trainers.  The bolt head is shown and in the front view you can see the larger side hole that has the split pin that needs to be moved to allow disassembly of the bolt head from the body body.   It only needs to be moved far enough into the bolt head so the head will turn off the bolt body.  Replacement then requires it to be driven back to the rear until it prevents the bolt head from turning off the body.  Since the firing pin also serves as the ejector too it is subject to some double duty wear.   The half round front edge of the firing pin mates to the cut in the bolt and stops forward movement.  Dirt and debris can get into the long firing pin recess and slow or stop the free ovement of the firing pin, so keep this area clean.  We do have these firing pins in stock, you can see on the Big, small stuff page.  Israeli military later made a copy of this rifle but changed the bolt head.  They used a Remington type extractor set and in most cases used Remington barrels from the various 500 series rifles they had purchased both as new guns and as surplus.
