This is an early Chinese mfg M1 Carbine receiver made during the Korean War. It is commonly believed that production stopped by 1953-54. They made receivers, trigger housings and some parts. There was some hope on their part that they would be able to build the carbines Thailand wanted. Howa of Japan because of their extensive experience rebuilding M1 Carbines and Rifles for the US Army in Japan was chosen by Thailand to build their carbines.
