This is the Model 1916 style barracks cleaning rod issued for the Springfield and Browning Automatic Rifle. The handle is the two-finger thumb style. This rod is steel with a brass coating. Production date on these is generally well before WWII. This style handle is not shown in the Brophy book, but many barracks rods and jointed rod had this handle. The brass plating near the jag end is somewhat lifted. Rods are new just have been stored for over 60-70 years. Please note these are over 36" long and have to be shipped in a mailing tube, can usually get other rods or very small items in the same tube but in general can not be combined with other items.
